Playa Carabeo is a picturesque urban cove situated below the street of the same name, just a few minutes from the Balcón de Europa. Surrounded by cliffs, vegetation and traditional white houses, it retains an intimate atmosphere despite being right in the centre of Nerja.

Its small size and the natural protection of the rocky walls create a welcoming space for swimming, relaxing by the sea or snorkelling close to the shore. The mix of dark sand, gravel and small stones is part of the characteristic landscape of the coves located below the historic centre.

Carabeo is especially appealing to couples, travellers staying in the centre and visitors who prefer quiet spots over larger, busier beaches. Its views over the Mediterranean and its integration into the urban landscape make it one of the coves with the most character in Nerja.
