Pizzería Pinocchio has for years been a benchmark for those looking for real Italian cooking in Nerja. Its wood-fired pizzas have that Neapolitan flavour that is hard to find outside Italy: well-worked dough, ingredients you can really taste, and just the right level of cooking.

Beyond the pizzas, the lasagne and pasta also have their loyal followers, with portions that leave no one hungry and a value-for-money offering that is much appreciated. The atmosphere is relaxed, with exposed wooden beams and a terrace where the staff do their best to find you a table.

There is usually a queue at peak times, which says a lot about its popularity. If there is no table, its sister restaurant Peppe's is just fifty metres down the street. Ideal for families, groups and anyone who wants to eat well without any fuss.
