Festival of the 3 Cultures of Frigiliana
The Festival of the 3 Cultures of Frigiliana celebrates the coexistence of Christian, Jewish and Muslim traditions with concerts, food, theatre and a medieval market.
The Festival of the 3 Cultures is the major cultural event in Frigiliana, the neighbouring white village of Nerja. Since 2006, on the last weekend of August each year, the streets of Frigiliana are transformed to celebrate the coexistence of the three great cultural traditions that shaped its history: Christian, Jewish (Sephardic) and Muslim (Hispanic-Arab).
What to expect
For four days, the village hosts open-air concerts, theatre and dance performances, medieval street parades, craft workshops and children's activities. The Market of the 3 Cultures fills the streets with stalls selling crafts, spices and typical products from the three traditions.
Tapa Route
The Ruta de la Tapa de las 3 Culturas is one of the most popular attractions: the bars and restaurants of Frigiliana prepare special tapas inspired by the three culinary traditions. It is a delicious way to explore the village.
Pyromusical show
The festival ends with a pyromusical show (fireworks synchronised to music) that lights up the sky over Frigiliana. It is the perfect finale to four days of celebration.
Practical information
The festival attracts more than 20,000 visitors. Frigiliana provides a parking and shuttle service from car parks on the outskirts to the roundabout at the village entrance, with continuous service during the festival hours. Source: Frigiliana Town Hall.

Where to park
Servicio de parking y lanzadera (oficial)
Durante el festival, Frigiliana habilita parkings en las afueras del pueblo con un servicio gratuito de lanzadera hasta la rotonda de entrada de Frigiliana.
- Horario de la lanzadera: de 19:00 a 03:00, servicio ininterrumpido.
- Servicio regular Frigiliana–Nerja / Nerja–Frigiliana: salida desde Frigiliana a partir de las 19:00 cada hora (desde la rotonda de entrada); desde Nerja a partir de las 19:30 hasta las 03:00 cada hora (desde los parkings habilitados).
No es recomendable intentar aparcar dentro del pueblo durante el festival.
