The Festival of the Cueva de Nerja is one of the oldest music and dance festivals in Spain, with open-air concerts at the Auditorio Manuel del Campo next to the Cueva.

The Festival of the Cueva de Nerja is one of the oldest music and dance festivals in Spain, with more than six decades of history. Created to commemorate the opening of the Cueva de Nerja to the public, it offers a programme of first-class concerts and performances every summer in an incomparable setting.

The stage

The concerts are held at the Auditorio Manuel del Campo, located in the gardens of the monument of the Cuevas de Nerja, with capacity for more than 3,000 spectators. Performances beneath the starry sky, with the cave in the background, create a unique atmosphere.

Programme

The festival covers multiple genres: classical music, opera, ballet, flamenco, jazz and dance performances. Over the years it has featured top national and international artists. The programme is published each season by the Fundación Cueva de Nerja.

Tickets

Unlike many fiestas in Nerja, the Festival de la Cueva requires a ticket. Prices and advance sales are announced together with the programme on the official channels of the Fundación Cueva de Nerja.
