Playa La Caletilla is a tiny cove situated immediately next to the Balcón de Europa. Its position beneath the cliffs of the old town and its proximity to Calahonda mean that it forms part of one of Nerja’s most distinctive coastal panoramas.
More than a conventional beach, La Caletilla is a small corner integrated into the urban landscape. Its small size and the buildings surrounding it create a unique scene, especially appealing to admire from the upper viewpoints or photograph during a stroll through the old town.
Its main appeal lies in its location and in the visual ensemble it forms with the Balcón de Europa, the Mediterranean and the nearby coves. It is a place that helps to show how the historic centre of Nerja opens directly onto the sea and coexists with a coastline of small hidden beaches.
